How Long Until You Get Your Las Vegas Elopement Video?

What decides how fast a Las Vegas elopement film comes back, what happens between the shoot and the finished film, and how our films arrive in 2 weeks, or sooner if you ask about rush delivery.

Some wedding videographers take months to send your film. For an elopement, that never made sense to me. You said your vows, you want to watch them. Our Las Vegas elopement films are delivered in 2 weeks, and you can ask about rush delivery if you need it sooner.

Here is why the wait varies so much, what happens behind the scenes, and what to ask any videographer before you book.

Why turnaround times are all over the place

It comes down to how much there is to edit and how busy the filmmaker is.

  • Hours of footage. A full wedding day is ten hours of video to sort and cut. An elopement is one to four hours.
  • Length of the film. A 3 minute film is a different job than a 30 minute highlight reel.
  • Workload. Some videographers shoot weddings back to back and edit in batches, so your film waits its turn.
  • What is included. Color grading, audio work, and licensed music all take time, and some people skip steps to go faster.

If a videographer quotes several months, ask why. It should have a reason you can understand.

What happens between the shoot and the film

Every film goes through the same steps, whether it takes a week or a season.

  1. Back up and sort the footage. Everything is copied off the cards and organized before editing starts.
  2. Cut the story. The best moments are chosen and put in order.
  3. Color grade. The image is balanced so skin tones look right and the lights look the way you remember them.
  4. Audio. Your vows and ceremony audio are cleaned up and mixed with music.
  5. Delivery. You get the finished film.

Why ours takes 2 weeks

Short films, focused shoots, and a plan made with you before the day. You tell us where you are getting married and where you want to walk afterwards, so we are not hunting for moments on the day. There is less to edit and more of it is good.

Every package is delivered in 2 weeks: The Chapel ($500), Downtown ($750), and Desert & Lights ($1,000). Every package includes planning help, cinema camera coverage, a color graded film, and licensed music. You can see the films on the elopements page.

Need it sooner?

If you have a reason to need your film faster, such as a family event or an anniversary, ask about rush delivery when you check your date. We will tell you what is possible for your shoot.

What to ask before you book any videographer

  • How long until I get my film, in writing?
  • Is color grading included?
  • Do I get full ceremony audio?
  • What music will be in the film, and is it licensed?
  • What happens if the date slips?

A quick, clear answer to each is a good sign.
